Verification & Badges
Last updated: 3 November 2026
Badges help you judge who you are dealing with. This page explains exactly what each badge means — and what it does not mean.
Email verified
The member has confirmed they control the email address on the account. It does not confirm who they are.
Company: Registry-verified
The company number and name match an official register (Companies House for UK companies, the EU VAT register, or the global LEI register), and there is a sign the account belongs to that company — such as a matching website domain, a verified company email, or an approved document.
Company: Verified (document)
Our team reviewed an official registration certificate or licence uploaded by the company.
Company: Registry-checked
The number and name match the register, but we have no proof yet that the account owner works for the company. Shown in grey. Take normal care.
Recruiters
- In-house recruiters show their company's badge once the company adds them to its team.
- Agency recruiters may add a company number or licence number. It is shown as "provided" unless our team has reviewed it.
What a badge does NOT mean
- It is not an endorsement or recommendation by purplelogin.
- It does not guarantee that a job, offer, salary or claim is genuine.
- Never pay money to get a job, and never share bank or ID details in messages — whatever badge someone has.
Documents you upload for verification
Kept in a private, locked folder that only our verification team can open. Used only to check the registration. Deleted when rejected, or after approval once the check is recorded.
Losing a badge
We remove a badge if the company is dissolved, the details change, the account is transferred, or we find the information was false. Misusing a badge can lead to the account being closed.
